Ed Hill is an icon in Southern Gospel Music. Ed also has a solo ministry and has a million friends all across America and around the World. There are few men who have remained at the top of Gospel Music for as long as Ed. After beginning his career with a local quartet in St. Louis he formed one of the great groups of all time, the Prophets Quartet. Later his was tapped to MC and direct the Singing Americans and helped develop singers like Rick Strickland, Ivan Parker, Michael English and Danny Funderburk. Ed was recently inducted into the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame. Of the thousands that have been in professional groups over the last 100 years, less than 200 have been so honored. Ed spent many years with JD Sumner, and during the Elvis Presley era of the Stamps Quartet Ed was the announcer who said at the end of each Elvis show..”Ladies and gentlemen, Elvis has left the building, good night”.
