Rick Strickland is one of Gospel Music’s premier tenors singers. He began his career
with the Kingdom Airs at Dollywood. Illness forced him to leave and recuperate. Next
he joined the Singing Americans where he first worked with hall of fame baritone singer
Ed Hill. Rick made a significant mark with great performances with this fine group.
Rick met up with Ed Hill again when both were working with JD Sumner and the Stamps
Quartet. Both Rick and Ed were with JD right up until his passing away. Rick left the
group to care for his ailing father and to help his mother cope with his loss. In order to be
supportive in this difficult time Rick began a solo ministry. When he is not on the road
with the Songfellows Rick sings solos and is in great demand.
